OPERATION:
STOP THE BLEED
Rhode Island
A Program of The Rhode Island Medical Reserve Corps, Healthy Communities Initiatives
In a crisis, seconds can mean the difference between life and death. Operation Stop the Bleed empowers everyday people with the knowledge and skills to act quickly in the event of a traumatic injury. Whether you’re a teacher, parent, healthcare professional, or community member, you can save a life by learning how to control bleeding before first responders arrive.
We equip participants with life-saving techniques through, hands-on training classes using tourniquets, wound packing, and pressure application. Our certified instructors are committed to making Rhode Island safer by ensuring individuals are prepared to act when it matters most.
Why Learn Stop the Bleed?
Uncontrolled bleeding is one of the leading causes of preventable death. With simple training, you can be the first responder in an emergency situation. Our program is available to schools, businesses, and community groups across the state, and tailored to fit your needs.
